I should wait till I finish these shows, but I was wondering what people thought of the individual shows of this run . All primo Dead to be sure, but they different . Having just listen to all of the 24th one, I was struck how powerful they were in the first set, and through most of set 2 . I though that "Lovelight" seemed a little weak on Pigs part, almost like the decision to do it was a misstep . The "Two Souls" is better, though he stumbles a little on intonation . In the end he get of a last bellow in the lead out . It is moving to hear him struggle to hit it out of the park "one more time" . That is the end of the set . And a "Sat. Night" as the encore . I would think if I had seen the first night , with it's "GDTRFB>NFA>Hey Bo Didely>NFA" , and "UJB" encore, , I might feel a little let down .
I recall the last 2 night as being both awesome brunt to back .
Any opinions ?

Dudley Dead;
I had Lyceum on an old cassette tape back in the day and the one thing I took away was The Stranger/Two Souls.
At the time I was not completely sure if it wasn't filler but much later realized it was part of the set.
That song just haunted me for a long time when ever I had the "I am all alone blues" that song would come to mind.
I do remember contrasting that 72 show with Madison, Wisconsin FEB-73 both of which were often in my rotating top ten car cassette tapes and just thinking how different the two shows were.
PLUS-For the Lyceum and much of Europe 72-- I liked hearing Pig in the harmonies...even as his lead vocals were getting rough around the edges and his turn up in the rotation took longer to come around. His voice in the mix was American Beauty in my ears.

First Set, last night is all-time huge with the NFA->GDTRFB->NFA closer. Second Set is Sides 5 and 6 of Europe '72. HAs to be best show of the Europe tour and all-time classic
